BC Place

BC Place is one of Vancouver’s most active arenas and home to the BC Lions football team, this is a stadium that holds events like the Vancouver International Boat Show, the BC Home and Garden Show, and the Pacific International Auto Show. This is where visitors can see the latest in technology and the latest in autos or boats during these events.

There is an estimated 200 days per year that an event is taking place at BC Place, including concerts with some of the biggest names in music. During the 2010 Winter Olympic Games the opening and closing ceremonies will be held at the stadium.

One of the things that make BC Place unique is the retractable roof of the air supported dome; this means events can be held in any kind of weather and at any time of year. There will not be a game, concert or other event that will be rained out and is the world’s largest air supported dome of its type.
